Welcome to the Microsoft Exchange Free Spam Filter project! The goal of this project is to provide a zero-cost, easy-to-use spam filter for Microsoft Exchange Email systems. Easy-to-use? Yes, it isn't difficult to run this filter. I have included 7 videos on this site relating to the install of the filter, troubleshooting, backups, and setup for external Blackberry-type devices. The filter is designed to provide anti-spam and anti-virus filtering on all incoming (and optionally outgoing) SMTP traffic. That means filtering all of your internet email. The filter uses all open-source components, and is based on extensive work already done by the open source community. This project aims to put all of those components together into one package that a MCSE can install and administer in their environment. The bonus is the efficiency - this filter will perform as well as your typical Barracuda and Postini setups. Unlike commercial spam-filtering appliances and services, the free spam filter offers granular control of every aspect. All the spam 'tests' are in the email headers. Extensive reports can be emailed to an administrator every night. Each user in your network can manage their own quarantine, whitelist and blacklist. This is the kind of control a modern IT organization needs, at the cost they want (zero). Download (1gb RAR file, use WinRAR to decompress) username: root password: password |
